RavenGrader grades handwritten STEM exams against a rubric built from your answer key. You show it how you grade on a few papers, it grades the rest of the class, and you can change any score at any time.

What it does

  • Reads handwriting. Scans, phone photos, PDFs, and typed work. Diagrams and circuits are read, not skipped.
  • Grades question by question and writes feedback for each one, not just a total.
  • Learns from you. You correct a few sample papers first, and it grades the rest of the class the way you would.
  • Shows how the class did: averages, how scores spread out, and the questions most students missed.

How an exam goes

  • Create a course and add an assignment to it.
  • Upload the exam and your answer key. RavenGrader turns them into a rubric you can edit.
  • Collect the work. Upload the scans yourself, have students hand in with a class join code, or use Canvas.
  • Correct a few sample papers so RavenGrader learns how you grade, then grade everyone.
  • Send each student a private feedback report, or export grades for your gradebook.

You stay in control

Grades are final when they land. You don’t have to approve each paper before students can see it. But nothing is locked. Open any paper and change a score or its feedback, and it saves on its own. A student’s report always shows the latest grade, so a fix reaches them without you sending anything again.

The best place to catch a mistake is the few sample papers you correct before grading everyone. A fix there carries over to the whole class.
